Psalm 75

Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made

For the choir director. To the tune of “Do Not Destroy.” A psalm of Asaph. A song.

1We give thanks to you, God, we give thanks, for your name is near; people tell of your wonders.

2When I choose the appointed time, I myself will judge with fairness.

3When the earth and all who live on it melt away, it is I who hold its pillars steady. Selah.

4I said to the boastful, “Do not boast,” and to the wicked, “Do not lift up your horn;

5do not lift up your horn against heaven, or speak with an arrogant neck.”

6For exaltation does not come from the east or from the west, nor from the desert,

7but it is God who judges; he brings down one and lifts up another.

8For in Yahweh’s hand there is a cup of foaming wine, well mixed; he pours it out, and all the wicked of the earth will drain it down to the dregs and drink it.

9But as for me, I will declare it forever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.

10All the horns of the wicked I will cut off, but the horns of the righteous will be lifted up.
