Psalm 91

Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made

Whoever lives in the hiding place of the Most High will stay in the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say of Yahweh, “My refuge and my stronghold, my God—I trust in him.”

For he himself will rescue you from the bird catcher’s trap and from the plague that destroys.

He will spread his feathers over you, and beneath his wings you will take refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and a bulwark.

You will have no fear of the terror of the night or of the arrow flying by day,

of the plague that prowls in the dark or of the destruction that devastates at noon.

Though a thousand fall beside you and ten thousand at your right hand, it will not draw near you.

You will only look on with your own eyes and see how the wicked are repaid.

For you, Yahweh, are my refuge! You have made the Most High your dwelling place;

no evil will come upon you, and no plague will draw near your tent.

For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.

They will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

You will set your foot on the lion and the viper and trample the young lion and the serpent.

Since he is bound to me in love, I will rescue him; I will set him safe on high, because he knows my name.

He will call to me, and I will answer him; I am with him in distress; I will set him free and give him honor.

I will satisfy him with a long life and let him see my salvation.
