Psalm 16
Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made
A miktam of David.
1Guard me, God, for I have taken refuge in you.
2I said to Yahweh, “You are my Lord; there is no good for me beyond you.”
3As for the holy ones who are in the land, they are the majestic ones, and all my delight is in them.
4The sorrows of those who rush after another god will increase; I will not pour out their drink offerings of blood, nor let their names pass my lips.
5Yahweh is my allotted share and my cup; you keep my lot firm.
6The measuring lines have fallen for me on pleasant ground; indeed, the inheritance is beautiful to me.
7I will bless Yahweh, who advises me; even through the nights my inmost being teaches me.
8I keep Yahweh always before me; because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
9Therefore my heart is glad and my whole being rejoices; my body also will rest secure.
10For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol; you will not let your faithful one see the pit.
11You make known to me the path of life; in your presence is joy in full measure; in your right hand are delights forever.
