Psalm 6

Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made

For the choir director. With stringed instruments. According to the sheminith. A psalm of David.

1Yahweh, do not rebuke me in your anger or discipline me in your fury.

2Be gracious to me, Yahweh, for I am wasting away; heal me, Yahweh, for my bones are shaking.

3My soul is shaken to its depths. But you, Yahweh—how long?

4Turn back, Yahweh, rescue my life; save me because of your steadfast love.

5For in death no one remembers you; in Sheol, who will praise you?

6I am worn out from my groaning; all night long I flood my bed with weeping; I drench my couch with my tears.

7My eye grows dim with grief; it grows weak because of all my foes.

8Get away from me, all you who do wrong, for Yahweh has heard the sound of my weeping.

9Yahweh has heard my plea for mercy; Yahweh accepts my prayer.

10All my enemies will be ashamed and deeply shaken; they will turn back and be put to shame in an instant.
