Psalm 84

Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made

For the choir director. According to the gittith. Of the sons of Korah. A psalm.

How lovely are the places where you dwell, Yahweh of Armies!

My soul yearns and even wastes away with longing for Yahweh’s courts; my heart and my body shout for joy to the living God.

The sparrow, too, has found a house, and the swallow a nest of her own where she has set her young, beside your altars, Yahweh of Armies, my King and my God.

Blessed are the ones who live in your house; they will keep on praising you. Selah.

Blessed are the people who find their strength in you, whose hearts are set on the pilgrim highways.

Passing through the Valley of Baca, they turn it into a spring; the autumn rain also wraps it in blessings.

They move from strength to strength; in Zion each one appears before God.

Yahweh God of Armies, listen to my prayer; give heed, God of Jacob. Selah.

God, see our shield; look closely at the face of your anointed one.

For one day in your courts is better than a thousand anywhere else; I would choose standing at the doorway of my God’s house over living in the tents of wickedness.

For Yahweh God is sun and shield; Yahweh grants grace and glory; he does not hold back anything good from those who walk in integrity.

Yahweh of Armies, blessed is the person who relies on you!
