Psalm 144
Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made
Of David.
Blessed be Yahweh, my rock, who trains my hands for battle and my fingers for war.
He is my steadfast love and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues my people under me.
Yahweh, what are human beings that you take notice of them, mere mortals that you think of them?
People are like a breath; their days are like a passing shadow.
Yahweh, bend your heavens and come down; touch the mountains so that they smoke.
Flash your lightning and scatter them; shoot your arrows and throw them into confusion.
Reach out your hands from on high; set me free and rescue me from the mighty waters, from the hand of foreigners,
whose mouths speak lies and whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood.
God, I will sing a new song to you; on a ten-stringed harp I will make music to you.
He gives victory to kings; he sets his servant David free from the cruel sword.
Set me free and rescue me from the hand of foreigners, whose mouths speak lies and whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood.
May our sons in their youth be like plants that are full grown, our daughters like corner pillars carved for a palace.
May our barns be full, supplying every kind of produce; may our flocks increase by thousands, by tens of thousands in our fields.
May our cattle be heavy with young; may there be no breach in the walls, no going into exile, and no cry of distress in our streets.
Blessed are the people for whom this is so! Blessed are the people whose God is Yahweh!
